Oil on canvas., 24x18. The rushing water over big rocks has always been my favorite image. I always wanted Cindy to share this. We may be ghosts coming out of the rock, but I meant that both provide a beauty and support to keep going.

Oil on canvas board. 11x14. This Northern Michigan fall became a remembrance of when each of us became one of our favorite pro football players and took for granted the cold,dry prewinter. The remembrance of many years ago morphs into glumps of color, and then simple geometrical shapes to provide a more perfect, settled image. When the frame was made, I made a mistake; but like many mistakes in life, it turned out for the best.

Oil on canvas, 24x18. This is titled, "It's a nice feeling". This is all the flash and completey different ambience of Paris. This is what tourists remember, the romantic Paris. The streets treated like lakes of reflection and the natives going through their routine with their mouths closed.

This was a photocard sent to me by a friend. Goal was to render the appearence of the age of teens and the loose but nervous demeanor.

I had studied this area of Venice beach for many years. Better known by my son Ben as "the special place". This is the entrance and exit from my morning runs and where the wave conditions could be evaluated, (as in surf's up?). I chose to represent some of the colors true, some approximating similar values and some to match the others.  I also chose to copy some of Picasso's techniques on the plants. I wanted to express the energy and depth of the emerging morning if I take the time to look and absorb this energy.
